Suspected Coventry burglar added to West Midlands Police most wanted list
A suspected burglar accused of striking in Coventry has been added to a police list of the most wanted men in the West Midlands. Vasile Stefan, 55, is accused of targeting a home in Coventry and in the Aston area of Birmingham 12 months ago.
Stefan’s picture has now been pinned to a list of people West Midlands Police is urgently trying to catch in relation to a string of offences across the region. The force has updated its most wanted list, a gallery of suspected criminals they want to trace in connection with assaults, robberies and burglaries.
Detectives have urged the public not to approach one of them and is asking anyone who sees them or has any information about them to get in touch immediately. Some of the latest additions to West Midlands Police’s most wanted list – concerning suspected criminals who have been the subject of public appeals for information over the last few days – can be found below.

Vasile Stefan
The 55-year-old is suspected of carrying out distraction burglaries in Coventry and Aston in May and June last year. Cops now want to find him and are asking anyone who sees him to call 999, quoting crime number 20/547007/22.
Anyone with information is asked to use Live Chat on the website or call 101.
Mark Geake
The 44-year-old from Wednesfield in Wolverhampton is wanted on suspicion of assault, robbery and a breach of court bail. The force said: “If you know where he is call 999 quoting crime number 20/245667/23.
“If you have information that could help us find him, use Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk or call 101.”
Mateyus Winters
The 25-year-old from Wolverhampton is wanted on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. Cops say the public should not approach him.
WMP said: “We’re looking for Mateyus Winters, also known as Mortimer Plummer Stone. If you see him, please do not approach him but call 999 quoting 20WV/7255A/21.”
Ryan Daker
The 27-year-old is wanted in connection with an assault in Wolverhampton. The force said: “He also has links to so we are asking the public for any information as to his whereabouts.”
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 999 quoting crime number 20/458273/23.
Jan Demeter
The 35-year-old from Walsall is wanted on suspicion of assault, stalking and arson following a fire in Bloxwich in April. Anyone who sees him should call 999 quoting crime number 20/241313/23 and anyone with information is asked to use Live Chat or call 101.
