A30 serious crash as road is closed in both directions by police
The A30 Ludwell Hill, near Lowe Coombe, in Wiltshire was closed in both directions yesterday (June 22) following a serious crash. The collision was first reported by Wiltshire Police at 12.38pm in the afternoon.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported that the road was blocked and that there were major delays due to a collision between Peckons Hill and the Charlton turn off. It had an impact on drivers heading between Shaftsbury and Ludwell.
A statement from Wiltshire Police read: “We are currently attending a serious road traffic collision on the A30 near Lower Coombe at the junction with Salisbury Road. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes while emergency services attend. Thank you for your patience.”
It appears that the collision happened close to the Grove Arms pub. There is slow traffic on Salisbury Road, Ludwell Hill and nearby Dennis Lane, according to Google Traffic.
